Cala Blanca
Further along the west coast, 50km from Mahon, Cala Blanca is small with a handful of shops, bars and restaurants. With its small beach and the island's former capital only a short distance away, this resort has just what you need for a relaxing holiday.
BeachesAn inlet provides a small sandy beach in the centre of Cala Blanca.
ShoppingHead to Ciudadela for a range of shops, as well as a craft market every Friday and Saturday.
NightlifeAlthough Cala Blanca is relatively quiet in the evenings, the nearby resorts of Cala'n Forcat and Cala'n Bosch both come alive after dark with entertainment in hotels, colourful pavement cafes and bars as well as some lively discos where you can dance into the early hours.
Local SpecialitiesThere are a handful of bars and restaurants in the resort. The short trip to Ciudadela uncovers a wider variety, including some excellent fish restaurants around the port areas of the old capital.
